    Today Wuchale primary school students and teachers have celebrated the 17th nationalities and peoples day with the theme “Our unity for sustainable peace”. Students have celebrated the day with Ethiopianism with songs, poetry, nationalities and peoples fights, drama and sports circuses.


    Ambasel Woreda Council Speaker Mrs. Genet Haile who made an opening speech stated that the 17th Nationalities and Peoples Day is being celebrated nationwide with the theme “Our unity for sustainable peace” in Sidama region and Hawassa city.
    Today it will also be celebrated in different schools in the district. There is no other choice than to strengthen our unity in order to overcome the challenges that places are facing. They advised students to respect their parents and teachers and love their country.
    The Ambasel Woreda School Office head Mr. Zelalem Mekonnen stated that when we think about peace, respect, unity and love, teachers have a great responsibility.
