Debretabor city Begemdir teachers college celebrated the 31st day of the disabled in Ethiopia for the 30th time in the world.






Disabled people and invited guests have celebrated the holiday with a panel discussion under the theme “Inclusive entrepreneurship and transition solution for Ethiopian disabled people”.On the celebration of the holiday, people with disabilities presented their talents and skills. They came out to the square and celebrate the holiday. They mentioned that they can do any job like anyone else and realised that the holiday needs to be celebrated more.
Begemdir Teachers College, Akato Education Department teacher who presented a document to start the panel discussion presented the initial paper on the topics of physical disability, human mentality, cultural defect attitudes and model disabled people.
People with disabilities can work just like anyone else and being disabled is a natural and man-made phenomenon irrespective of race, color and gender.
They pointed out in their documents that there are more than 15 percent of people with disabilities in the world and mentioned that there are a few people with disabilities in our country.Different ideas were raised by the guests invited to the panel and said that the infrastructure of Debretabor city should be inclusive of disabled people. The participants of the holiday also said that higher officials should attend the celebration of the holiday.
Mr. Atsedemariam, who made a closing speech on the celebration of the holiday, said that we should invite more participants and celebrate the holiday in a bright way and be ready to solve the problems that arise.www.joramjojo.org
