” February 4th, 1992 brought the spirit of rebellion and national dignity and that has been rescued to this day,” said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the March in commemoration of the 31st Anniversary of the Rebellion of February 4, 1992 and National Dignity Day, from Los Próceres, in Caracas.

Faced with the combative and revolutionary tide, the President stressed that thanks to the rebellion of the Venezuelan people, who have been present for decades, the process of the Bolivarian Revolution has been strengthened.

“The forging of true patriots, of the values of national dignity, was the first light that came on that dawn of February 4 in its first flashes, that light brought us the dignity betrayed and sullied for centuries, the national dignity” , he pointed out.

In context, he specified that that February 4 allowed the rescue of the Bolivarian ideal and original of the national project of the Liberator Simón Bolívar. “The resurrected rescue then brought us very clearly, in the image and in the voice of Commander Chávez, our leader.”

Along the same lines, he praised the role played by the patriotic youth throughout revolutionary history. “A youth forged in values, which broke the times and opened the early paths for the 21st century that today we are riding towards a future of heroic greatness and prosperity. Long live the youth of February 4, 1992!”.

Finally, he ruled that February 4, 1992, was the awakening of the Venezuelan people to reject the imperialist neo-colonial model that was intended to be imposed in Venezuela. “A century of betrayals our people lived and the revolutionary struggle of that February 4th came to give hope and guarantee equality.”
