During the 19th South Gondar zone district wide cultural sport and 6th cultural festival competition. From December 8-16/2015 Following the meeting that was held in Smada Woreda, Wegeda town, the city administration of Smada and Wegeda entered today.
Zone woredas and city administrations that participated in the sport cultural festival Ebnat, Este, Fogera, Lay Gaynt, Farta and Dera woredas perticipated the woreda and city administration.
The 19th South Gondar zone district wide cultural sports competition and the 6th cultural festival competition that has started for the 2nd day and continued today.

In the wrestling match that was attended by men’s 12 and women’s 5 woredas, there were many knockout matches in different categories.

Eastern Gojam zone cultural sports championship competition ended successfully!!

The Eastern Gojam zone cultural sports championship competition that has been going on for 10 consecutive days in Lumame city has ended successfully. Du Eju Woreda has also won the overall competition.

East Gojam zone youth and sport directorate Mr. Bishaw Mola thanked Lumame city and Awabel district administration, residents of Lumame city, judges, federations, professionals and all participants of the competition.

The directorate said that sport has a great importance for peace, development, health and social interaction. Strengthening cultural sports is the basis for developing modern sports.
