The Ethiopian Federal Police has procured contemporary weaponry, and the commando and strike forces have engaged in practical training in and around Addis Ababa.
The Commissioner General and members of the management team undertook a visit to the commandos who had undergone training with the Ethiopian Federal Police, with the objective of assessing the proficiency with which they were able to utilise their weapons.
During the visit, the newly constituted armed forces, comprising the commando and strike units, demonstrated the training they have been undergoing to the senior officials.

Those in senior positions conveyed their gratitude for the exemplary conduct of the commando and the strike force.
The police force initially deployed a Russian-made tank, designated BRMD 2, under the auspices of the government and E. Fairy. D. Ri, with the assistance of the General Commander of the Armed Forces.
The Ethiopian Federal Police Commissioner General Demelash G/Michael, the current president of the East African Police Commanders Union, expressed gratitude for the armed support provided by the aforementioned parties. D. The General Commander of the Army expressed gratitude to Field Marshal Birhanu Jula and the Defence Engineering Industry Corporation.
The Ethiopian Federal Police are engaged in the protection of peace and security within the country through the utilisation of both mobile and fixed security cameras.
